Candles lit for ten days of prayer

The Abbey will be lit with candles for ten days of prayer and reflection that takes place each evening at 8pm - 9pm (Thursday May 13th - Saturday May 22nd).

All are welcome and during the hour of prayer there will be some music, time for personal reflection and at half past eight each evening the Abbey bell will be rung to accompany the Lord's Prayer.

Visitors are welcome to stay for a few minutes or the full hour.

The daily hour of prayer and reflection is in response to a call by the Bishop of Sheffield for all churches to spend time between Ascension Day and Pentecost Sunday (13th - 22nd May) reflecting and praying for the life and work of the church across the region.
